Mail-in ballots for Colorado's Aug. 10 primary elections were going out Monday. Because the vast majority of Colorado primary voters will cast their ballots at home, that means candidates have the next three weeks to try to sell themselves to party voters.

The race on ballots this election is for the U.S. Senate, where both Democrats and Republicans have primaries. Democrats will choose between Sen. Michael Bennet and Andrew Romanoff. Republicans are picking between Ken Buck and Jane Norton.

Another big primary contest is for the Republican nomination for governor. Republican voters will decide whether to go with Scott McInnis or Dan Maes. Democrat John Hickenlooper has no opposition.
