President defends stimulus in Denver

Defending the economic stimulus bill and reaching back to Harry Truman to bash Republicans who opposed it, President Barack Obama said the public is fed up with partisan game-playing in Washington.

Obama on Thursday spoke at a fundraiser for Sen. Michael Bennet of Colorado, who was appointed to office after Obama tapped Sen. Ken Salazar to lead his Interior Department. Obama says Bennet has succeeded in business, as his state's education chief and now as a new senator.

Obama channeled Truman when criticizing GOP opposition, saying he's not giving them hell, just telling the truth and they think it's hell.
