Prescription discount program launches for Pueblo County

People in Pueblo can now get their medications for less with a new prescription discount card.
The cards are available for free, and offer an average savings of 22% off retail. The cards may be used by all county residents, regardless of age, income, or existing health coverage. There are 30 pharmacies within Pueblo County that will accept the card, and a national network of more than 60,000 participating retail pharmacies also will honor it. One card can be used for whole the family.

"I think it comes at the right time when the economy is as sluggish and down as it is, something we felt that we should provide for our constituents in this county, very pleased to have done it," says Pueblo County Comissioner Anthony Nunez.

Cards are available at the County Courthouse--Pueblo City-County Health Department and Housing and Human Services on 4th St.

You can also print off a card from the Pueblo County Website.

El Paso County also offers a similar card, for more information on that card click here.
