Update: PPCC Centennial Campus alert was false alarm

Pikes Peak Community College Centennial Campus was on heightened alert because of reports of a man with a gun late Friday morning.
It appears that a man was seen heading to the bookstore on campus with a gun in a holster strapped to his leg. Campus police ordered shelter in place, meaning students stayed locked in their classrooms.
It turned out tactical training was scheduled on campus and the man with the gun was part of that training. There was no threat to the safety of those on campus.
