A long-awaited project to improve safety and reduce wait times along Powers Boulevard is finally finished. Drivers can now zip through from Research Parkway to Old Ranch Road without stopping. The Colorado Department of Transportation opened up three bridges over Briargate,
Union, and Pine Creek Saturday afternoon. Drivers often complained about the dangers of those intersections. The $11.2 million project took nearly 4 months, but they aren't done yet-C-DOT is putting on finishing touches such as highway lighting. They're asking drivers to be prepared to drive slowly through the stretch.
