There's a cone zone in Colorado Springs to avoid.
Paving is underway on Powers Blvd. between Bradley Rd. and Milton E. Proby Pkwy. Expect lane closures, blocked left turn lanes, and reduced speeds.
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) also has installed a new traffic signal at the Powers/Grinnell intersection to improve safety and traffic movements. It is expected to be activated either this week or just after Labor Day.
In addition to paving and signal installation, this project includes the installation of new lighting, guardrails, and curbs and gutters.
The project is scheduled for completion in September.
