A powerful earthquake hit Indonesia this Wednesday morning. The Associated Press is reporting several buildings have collapsed.
A powerful underwater earthquake has rocked western Indonesia, triggering a tsunami alert for countries along the Indian Ocean. The quake had a preliminary magnitude of 7.6 and hit 30 miles off the coast of the city of Padang, along the same faultline the spawned the massive 2004 Asian tsunami.
On Tuesday a powerful earthquake triggered a devastating tsunami that killed at least 99 people in Samoa and American Samoa.
