Porter to miss game Sunday with upper-body injury

DENVER (AP) - Colorado forward Kevin Porter will miss Game 3 of the Avalanche's first-round playoff series against San Jose with an upper-body injury.
Avalanche coach Joe Sacco said Saturday he wasn't sure how long Porter will be out after he left the game in the second period of a 6-5 overtime loss the night before.
The Avalanche also will be without forward Peter Mueller for Sunday's game against the Sharks. Mueller is recovering from a head injury he sustained following a hit along the boards by Sharks captain Rob Blake on April 4.
The Western Conference series is tied at a game apiece.
