Pomegranates may prevent the growth of some types of breast cancer

Natural compounds found in pomegranates may prevent the growth of some types of breast cancer. Researchers identified ten compounds found in the fruit that were able to prevent estrogen-responsive breast cancers.
Researchers say these compounds suppressed estrogen production and significantly slowed cell growth in lab studies. It's unclear if the fruit would have the same effect in humans.
