Voting for the Senate District 11 Recall Election begins Thursday, September 5. Voters who live in Senate District 11 can begin voting on Thursday at four Voter Service and Polling Centers (VS-PC). Voting will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, September 5-6-7, and will continue for a total of 48 hours over 5 days.
Three additional VSPC sites will be open Monday and Tuesday, September 9 and 10, giving voters a choice of 7 locations where they may vote. Every voter in Senate District 11 is within seven minutes of a VSPC. On Election Day, September 10, all VSPC sites will be open 7:00 AM-7:00 PM. Please see the attached document for more details about the locations and hours for the Voter Service and Polling Centers.
Two Motor Vehicle offices -the Southeast Powers Branch and the Downtown Centennial Hall Branch-will be open only as Voter Service and Polling Centers for the Recall Election between Thursday, September 5 and Tuesday, September 10.
On those dates customers needing to register vehicles, renew driver's licenses, or obtain recording services will be able to use only the North Branch located at 8830 North Union Blvd or the Citizens Service Center located at 1675 West Garden of the Gods Rd.
"I am grateful for the hard work that my staff and our election judges have done to allow the Voter Service and Polling Centers to open on time," stated Clerk and Recorder Wayne Williams. "I also hope that the citizens of El Paso County understand that this election compelled us to use two of our motor vehicle offices solely for those voters participating in the Recall Election. Rest assured that on September 11, all of our offices will be open to provide full service to all the citizens of El Paso County."
