Poll finds sexting common among young people

Think your kid isn't "sexting"? Think again. An Associated Press-MTV poll finds lots of young people are sharing sexually explicit photos, videos and chat on their cell phones or online.
More than a quarter of teens and young adults say they've done it, despite sometimes grim consequences.
Young people across the country -- in Florida, Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania -- have faced charges, in some cases felony charges, for sending nude pictures.
In at least a couple of cases, sexting has been linked to suicide. Last year, an Ohio teen hanged herself after weeks of ridicule at school. She had sent a nude cell phone picture to her boyfriend, but after they broke up, he forwarded the picture to other people.
