Police: Woman bought car with forged checks

A Colorado Springs woman was arrested after buying a car with someone else's social security number and forged checks, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department. CSPD was contacted by Ferguson Pontiac, who told them that Sarah Wagner, 33, purchased a 2007 Jeep Wrangler from the dealership in November. When police searched Wagner, they found numerous forged social security documents, IRS documents, checks, and other documents that implicated her in another identity theft and car theft that she had bonded out of jail on earlier that day. Wagner was charged with Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft, Identity Theft, Forgery, and Fraud by Check. She was taken to jail and the Jeep was returned to Ferguson Pontiac.
