BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Westminster police and the Boulder County Sheriff's Office are still looking for a rifle, gun belt and bulletproof vest after a deputy sheriff's vehicle was stolen.

Boulder County sheriff's spokeswoman Heidi Prentup said Friday that Westminster police recovered the unmarked vehicle that was stolen from outside a detective's apartment, but there are no signs of the missing equipment.

The black Ford Taurus was abandoned, and police have made no arrests in the case.

Westminster police said the deputy noticed his keys were missing when he woke up Thursday morning, and when he went outside, his vehicle was gone too. Authorities say the car contained an AR-15 rifle with three 30-round magazines and a concealable ballistic vest..
