Car lands in Pueblo Riverwalk

Pueblo Police say a man in his seventies drove into the water at the Pueblo Riverwallk late Tuesday morning. The man told police his brakes failed and to avoid a collision he turned into a grassy area next to the Riverwalk and drove into the water. He and a passenger were pulled from the car by bystanders. They were not seriously injured.
The car landed in about three feet of water near the intersection of Grand and Main. It was pulled from the water about 45 minutes later.
