Police rule deaths on Essex Lane were murder-suicide

The Colorado Springs Police Department has determined a woman and two children who were found in their home on October 4, died as a result of a murder-suicide.
The bodies were found around 3:40 p.m. by Tommy Ogden when he came home. Renee Ogden, 38, and her twin children aged 13, were found dead at 1941 Essex Lane. All three had been shot in the head.
After autopsies and a review of DNA evidence and firearm analysis it was determined Renee Ogden shot her two children, Chase and Olivea, and then shot herself.
