Police Nab Cat Burglar In Attic

Colorado Springs Police were called out to a report of a possible burglary in progress around 8:45 Saturday night at 840 Golden Hills Road. Officers met with the resident who had recently arrived home and heard noises coming from the attic area of his house.  Police accessed the attic from a trap door located in the ceiling of the garage and found a caucasian male, later identified as 47 year old, Troy Tutza hiding in the attic. He was discovered with an item thought to be taken from the home earlier next to him as he was taken into custody.  It was later found that police had received a call in the same area with a man matching the same description as the suspect peering into back yards and possibly casing break-ins around 3:30 Saturday afternoon.

Troy Tutza was taken into custody and police are still investigating to see if there are any other related crimes.
