Early on Saturday morning, Colorado Springs police were dispatched to Memorial Hospital regarding a stabbing.
At the hospital, a Springs police officer spoke with a man who had been beaten and stabbed. The victim said the assault happened in the 2600 block of E Yampa Street at around 2 a.m. in the morning.
The victim said he had been at a friend's house, when several men began beating him and ultimately stabbing him. The victim was able to get away from his attackers and drove himself to Memorial Hospital.
The victim suffered a severe stab wound to his back; along with several other contusions. He was admitted to Memorial Hospital with life threatening injuries.
There is no suspect information at this time.
