Police: Man drowns at downtown Denver pool

DENVER (AP) - Police say that a man has drowned in a gym pool used by guests of a downtown Denver hotel.

Cpl. James Ballinger says police received a call about 8:45 p.m. Friday from witnesses who said that a man who had been exercising in the pool had been found floating.

He says the man was rushed to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Ballinger didn't release the man's name or any other details about him.

He says that the man was a member of Forza Fitness and Performance Club, which is used by guests of the Ritz Carlton hotel.
