Police investigating possible murder

Colorado Springs police are investigating a possible murder of a 35 year old woman who died of injuries from a gunshot.

Officer responded to Memorial Hospital Central at about 1:30 Sunday morning for a report of a shooting victim who had been brought to the emergency room in a private vehicle. The woman, whose name has been released , died at the hospital.

Patrol officers and detectives were able to locate where the shooting happened about 4 hours later. Police believe the crime happened in the parking lot at the Shannon Glen Apartments at 220 N. Murray in southeast Colorado Springs.

Police are looking for a newer model red or orange Jeep Cherokee, driven by a white man, 30-35 years old, bald with a short beard and a moustache, wearing a hoodie. The passenger in the vehicle, who is believed to be the shooter, is described as a white man, 30-35 years old, also bald with a short beard and moustache, wearinga plaid red and black colored hoodie.

The El Paso County coroner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
