Police are still investigating a possible meth lab that was found inside a Post Office located at 2641 E. Uintah Street in Colorado Springs.
Last night, shortly before 10:30p.m., officers from the Colorado Police Department responded to a call at a Post Office where they found two homeless persons sitting in the foyer. The officers found the individuals in possession of materials commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine. Officers say the two arrested were using a 'one pot method, which allows individuals to manufacture small amounts of meth. The scene was secured. CSFD Hazmat was called out and MVNI responded. Both individuals were decontaminated and and are in custody.
Tomorrow, there will be a mail truck for customers to pick up their mail at the Post Office. If you need to buy retail items, (ex. stamps, envelopes, etc.) you can go to one of the four U.S. Post Offices listed below.
