Police investigating early morning Walgreens robbery

Police are investigating an early morning robbery at a Colorado Springs Walgreens.

Just before four Thursday morning police say a man walked into the store in the 29-hundred block of N. Nevada wearing a dark coat and a white bandana over his face. The man then reportedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at a clerk and demanded money from a register. The clerk complied and put the money from the register draw into a white Walgreens' plastic bag.

Hearing the commotion out in the main store area a manager of the store came out to see what was going on, and was confronted by the suspect. The suspect allegedly pointed the gun at the manager and demanded money from another register near the entrance door. The manager said she complied by putting the money from a second register into the same plastic bag before the suspect ran away.

The suspect was described by the victims as being a Hispanic male, 5'3" with a thin build, and wearing a dark colored coat with a white bandana over his face
