Police investigating another armed robbery

The Liborio Market in the 1600 block of S. Circle Dr was the scene of Police activity late Friday night. Police officers from the Sand Creek Division were dispatched at around 10:30 P.M. to respond to a robbery alarm at 1660 S.Circle Dr.  While responding, officers were sent an alert that a suspect on scene was armed and possibly still inside.

The store clerk and six others in the store locked themselves in the business office and were not able to observe if the suspect was still on scene. When officers arrived, they were able to investigate and find the employees in the office. K-9 officers were also able to investigate the store and determined that the suspect was gone. Following the investigation it was determined that the suspect had been able to escape through the back door before officers arrived.

The store clerk interviewed told officers that explained he had been working in the back area of the store when he was approached by a man wearing a black ski mask, holding a gun. The suspect threatened to kill him and the other employees if they did not open the safe. The employees told the suspect that they did not possess the keys to the safe. Since the suspect was not able to break into the safe and get to the money, he ran to the back of the store where he was able to escape undetected.

The suspect was described as a male party wearing blue jeans, a black in color sweater, a black in color ski mask and gloves.
