WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (AP) - Remnants of a suspected meth lab prompted the evacuation of rooms at a suburban Denver hotel.

Wheat Ridge Police spokeswoman Lisa Stigall says a maid entering at a room at a Ramada Inn near Interstate 70 discovered chemicals and paraphernalia. Responding officers noticed a strong chemical order when they entered the room.

No suspects have been arrested but Stigall says investigators are starting with the last person who checked into the room.

A clerk who answered the phone referred calls to a manager, who did not immediately return a call.

Stigall says a wing of the hotel was evacuated as a precaution as a fire crew gathered the chemicals.
