Police investigate explosive device

Colorado Springs Police are on the scene of a reported explosive device.  A patrol officer was contacted at 1:37 p.m. in the area of Wooten road and Geiger blvd, on the city's East side.  A 2" X 4" piece of steel shrapnel was recovered in the middle of the street.

Officers on scene are looking for the source of the explosion.  They tell News 5 , they have no suspects at this time, and do not believe it was an accidental detonation.
