On Tuesday it's revealed Officer Josh Carrier is now facing 78 charges dealing with sex crimes against children. On top of that there could be more to come as police interview more potential victims.

Colorado Springs attorney Rick Levinson tells us an alleged victim's family has already reached out to his firm. "We were contacted by one client in particular to help them understand what was going to happen moving forward through the criminal process." he explains.

Since then several other families have as well. They're looking into the possibility of a civil lawsuit. While that potential lawsuit could include CSPD, Levinson says the school district is the main focus. "I think we're primarily focused on District 11 and how this could have happened in the school." says Levinson.

Carrier served for seven years with the Colorado Springs Police Department but is currently on suspension without pay. He is being held at the El Paso County jail on a $500,000 bond.
