DENVER (AP)-Are you heading to Denver this weekend? If so, keep an eye out for RTD buses or you may end up with a big ticket.

The Regional Transportation District and state and Denver law enforcement agencies are teaming up to enforce a state law requiring drivers to yield to buses.

RTD buses have been equipped with lights that flash when the bus enters traffic after a routine stop, reminding drivers to yield. The law requires motorists to give the right of way to any bus pulling away from a stop while displaying the flashing yield sign and turn signal.

Fines for not yielding range from $15 to $100.
