Police capture escaped zebra in downtown Atlanta

An escaped circus zebra has been rounded up in Atlanta after it led police on a chase through the downtown area and along an interstate highway.
Rush hour traffic came to a standstill as city police attempted to corral the animal, spotted by witnesses near the Sam Nunn Federal Building as well as Centennial Olympic Park and the CNN Center. It was finally captured along the Interstate 75-85 downtown connector. Witnesses said it had been galloping between lanes of traffic.
Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus is in Atlanta this week. The circus also had a group of elephants corralled Thursday in a downtown Atlanta parking lot.
