Plug a meter, help the homeless

Now you can plug a meter and help the homeless. The Miracle Meters program kicked off on Monday. We first told you about this program earlier this month. More than 100 decorated meters are being displayed at City Hall. Money people donate to them will go to Housing First Pikes Peak. "Our idea is that the money in the meters would be taken and used for case management in a program that services chronically homeless and mentally ill substance abusers," said Bob Holmes of Homeward Pikes Peak, which runs Housing First.
Look for the meters in local businesses.
