Local high school football teams were eliminated and advanced today in another Saturday of playoffs.
In 4A, Dakota Ridge upset Falcon a week ago, but Pueblo South took them down 27-21 Saturday. Pine Creek earned a berth to the semifinals Friday night by beating Windsor. Now, the Eagles and the Colts are two of the four teams remaining in the 4A.
Southern Colorado had two teams alive in 3A entering Saturday, but Pueblo East lost to Silver Creek, 34-14. Coronado though, beat Roosevelt 29-27. They move on to the semifinals where they will face TCA for a berth to the State Championship.
In 2A, Manitou Springs was eliminated in the semifinals by Platte Valley 13-7. 1A, Limon was eliminated by Centauri 21-8, Hoehne fell to Caliche 44-40 in 8-man, and Liberty/Stratton defeated Hi-Plains 44-40 for the 6-man State Title.
