The Hancock Bridge, located north of Fillmore and south of Austin Bluffs in Colorado Springs, is due for replacement. It was built in 1935 and is scheduled to be replaced in the next two years using funding from the Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority.

Public input on the design of the bridge is welcome at a meeting to be held Wednesday, June 23, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Cragmor Christian Reformed Church at 1225 Acacia Drive. Representatives from the City, PPRTA , and their consultant, URS Corporation, will be there to explain the project and answer questions.

After the design phase, the city expects the bridge to be built by the end of 2012.
