Snow is likely for tomorrow's commute and the City of Colorado Springs wants everyone to have a route planned.
The city works from a snow removal plan that starts with main roads first:
The City clears the main roads first. Click here to see the map.
Residential streets are only plowed when there is 6 inches or more of snow and after the primary routes are cleared and it has stopped snowing.
Residential streets are plowed using a grid-based system. Previously, residential streets were plowed upon request, but with the grid-based system, requests are not necessary and will not change the plow schedule.
