Pitbull shot and killed near elementary school

Colorado Springs police shot and killed a pit bull they saw running loose near Scott Elementary school this morning.
When officers arrived they say two pit bulls were running loose, causing a threat to school children.
Officers say due to the imminent threat to school children, one dog was shot in the street and the second was captured and taken away by the Humane Society. No injuries were reported. The dogs did not have identifying information as to ownership.
