Pikes Peak Community gets three grants

Pikes Peak Community College has announced it has received three grants, more than $500,000.

  • $83,276 from the Childcare Care Access Means Program each of the next four years to help low income PPCC students access campus-based child care services. In addition, grant funds may be used to provide before and after school services to the extent necessary to enable low-income students enrolled at the institution of higher education to pursue post secondary education.
  • $219,955 to increase services to disabled veterans in the greater Colorado Springs community. PPCC has always had a large population of military and disabled veteran students and data shows these populations are on the rise. The college is projecting to be able to help approximately 260 more students each year.
  • $238,496 Grant to increase service to first generation and low income military students and/or their dependents.
