Picture included: Missing 6 year old girl

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation's Major Crime Unit is issuing a missing child alert.
They say 6 year-old Jayleigh Mieritz was taken by her grandmother, Joan Mieritz, from the Colorado Springs area to the Pagosa Springs area. During visitation, the grandmother filed for custody of the child, which was denied by the courts.
Jayleigh's mother and legal custodian, Tamika Ward, went to Pagosa Springs to pick up Jayleigh, but the grandmother refused to let the child go. Deputies were called and the grandmother left in 2005 2-door black Kia sedan, license plate 090OHF with the child.
Authorities say Jayleigh is 3'8" with long, curly brown hair and brown eyes. It's not known what she was wearing when she was taken.
Joan Miertitz is described as 5'8" with short brown hair and blue eyes. She weighs 160 pounds and is 65 years-old.
