Several cuties at Mesa Veterinary Clinic in Pueblo didn't seem to mind playing dress up.

Pet owners say they want to reflect their attitude or their pet's personality with a Halloween costume.

The clinic held a costume contest today, but it was also an effort to get more owners to microchip their pets.

If the pet had a costume on, they got microchipped at a discounted rate.

"A lot of unexpected things happen, and they get lost," said Dr. Barr. "If they don't have a microchip, it's really hard to find the owners."

To our surprise, more than dogs dressed up!

One group dressed like characters from the Wizard of Oz.

Instead of all dogs, a goat was the Glinda the Good Witch of the North, and a cow was the Cowardly Lion!
