A Pueblo hospice is launching a program to take care of the pets of those who are dying.

Pet Peace of Mind allows dying patients the knowledge that their pet will be cared for now and in the future.

"For many patients in hospice care, pets offer unconditional love, acceptance, comfort, and companionship when it's needed most. Keeping pets and patients together is important to quality of end of life days and having a plan for the pet's future adds peace of mind for the patient." Caren Ermel CEO Sangre de Cristo Hospice.
