People with trucks and trailers need to help flood victims

Have a truck and trailer and time to help some horse that have been affected by the floods?

If so, the Colorado Horse Care Food Bank needs volunteers today who can take hay to Weld County

Pikes Peak region members have been asked by Weld County officials to bring emergency hay supplies for stranded and/or affected horses and other livestock in Greeley and surrounding areas.

"People here in El Paso County always have such a giving spirit," said Marty Jackson, spokeswoman for the Colorado Horse Food Bank. "Our neighbors in Colorado helped us during the Black Forest fire, and we need to pull together and help them now."

Volunteers should contact Jackson at (719) 237-6722 for more information.
