Fort Carson is hosting U.S. Army Medical Command on Post to discuss Warrior Transition Unit initiatives and Soldier care on Monday, according to a press release.
The Army created the Warrior Transition Units in 2007 to manage care of Soldiers requiring extensive treatment of wounds, injury and illness.
Ft. Carson officials say there are currently 480 wounded Soldiers assigned to the Mountain Post's unit.
Monday's media roundtable comes the day after after a New York Times article was published, in which Soldiers described problems at Ft. Carson's Warrior Transition Unit.
