Randy Bernard, the CEO of the Professional Bull Riders headquartered in Pueblo, is resigning his position to take the top job at the Indy Racing League.
Bernard joined PBR in August of 1995. As CEO, Bernard led bull riding to a stand alone sport. Under his leadership, the PBR became one of the fastest growing sports in North America, and extended the sport around the world.
The IRL stages 17 races in the western hemisphere--from Sao Paulo, Brazil to Toronto, Canada. Most are in the United States, including the flagship race--the Indianapolis 500.
Bernard is flying to Indianapolis Monday afternoon.
