Passenger jet makes emergency landing at Colorado Springs Airport

Emergency response crews are responding to a declared emergency landing at the Colorado Springs Municipal Airport.

Airport emergency officials are saying that the flight crew on the Southwest Airlines, flight has reported smoke in the cockpit.

The time of the call was at 11:10 am and the Boeing 737 was due to make the landing by by 11:21am. Colorado Springs and Peterson Air Force Base crews are standing by at the scene now. No word on the number of passenger aboard the flight.

We have a crew en-route to gather confirmed information.
