If you're looking for an opportunity to teach your children good stewardship of the earth--Bear Creek and Fountain Creek Nature Centers are encouraging families to volunteer this Saturday to clean-up and enhance the parks. The projects will include tree planting, creek cleaning, weed removal and trail renovations.

The El Paso County Parks Division will provide all tools and instructions for the day's tasks, in addition to a free lunch and wrap-up barbecue dinner at both parks. The project runs 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

If you'd like to volunteer, call the numbers below so they'll have enough food and tools:

Bear Creek Nature Center: 719-520-6387

Fountain Creek Nature Center: 719-520-6745
