Parking a big boost to D.C.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The nation's captial is getting plenty of capital from parking tickets. The District of Columbia racked up 92 million bucks from nearly 1.9 million parking tickets in fiscal year 2012. That's according to data obtained by the AAA through a Freedom of Information Act request. AAA Mid-Atlantic spokesman John Townsend tells The Washington Post that "parking is a big business" in Washington.
