Park County couple formally charged in animal abuse case

Felony animal cruelty charges were filed today in Fairplay against the Park County couple accused of starving nearly a hundred of sled dogs.
A Park County Court Clerk tells us Samuel and Diane Walker appeared in court today and they both face 28 counts.....including six for felony aggravated cruelty to an animal.
Back in December the dogs were seized from the Walker's Paws-a-Track kennel near Hartsel and taken to shelters throughout Colorado. 8 dogs were found dead at the kennel.
The couple's arraignment is set for May.
