A letter sent home with Audubon Elementary School children this afternoon is leaving parents with more questions than answers. The letter describes what police are calling a possible attempted robbery of two ten year old children on their way home from school yesterday.

The students reported the man had a small pocket knife and asked them for money. The letter urged parents to talk to their children about "stranger danger" and how to respond to situations like this. On top of sending out the letter, the school also says they will hold an assembly tomorrow morning to talk about safety and commend the two children in this case who did the right thing by running away and telling their parents.
