Taylor Walsh of Palmer High School is this week's Loaf ‘N Jug Aquafina Athlete of the Week.
Taylor is a senior on the Terrors diving team and this young woman has some serious game in the pool. She's ranked third in the entire state and holds Palmer High School's all-time diving record. She gets up every morning at 4:30 a.m. to go to the gym, and then after school, she stays at diving practice until 9 p.m.
Taylor says she's able to pull off acrobatic dives because she did gymnastics at a young age.
"Probably my highest degree of difficulty dive is the front 2 ½ somersault," said Taylor. "You do a front approach, then 2 ½ somersaults, then go in the water head first."
Taylor is also in Palmer's rigorous IB Program and has a 4.0 GPA. She works three jobs and her goal is to attend Colorado College and be a diving coach.
