DIXVILLE, N.H. (AP) - The owner of the New Hampshire hotel where the first-in-the-nation presidential primary ballots are cast is making an announcement about its pending sale.

The 150-year-old-plus Balsams Grand Resort in Dixville Notch was put up for sale in July. The Tillotson family has owned the northern New Hampshire resort since 1954. Today it is at least 5,000 acres, with four private lakes, a golf course and ski area.

The Balsams recently underwent extensive renovations, including its Ballot Room, where the presidential primary ballots are cast at the stroke of midnight every four years.

Tom Deans, president of the corporation, is holding a conference call with reporters on Thursday afternoon.
