Out-of-state guests love the Chile and Frijoles Festival

The chiles continue to roast in downtown Pueblo today!

It turns out, it's not just Puebloans or even people from our state that love the Chile and Frijoles Festival.

Many people drive for hours from other states just to get what they call the best peppers in the country!

"Being from New Mexico, we have excellent chile, but we found out that in Colorado, my goodness, their chile is just as good if not better than ours," said a Chile and Frijoles Festival fan who drove up from around Albuquerque, New Mexico.

We've told you about some of the strange items cooked with chiles that you can find at the festival, like chocolate chile ice cream, and today we found chile pepper peanut brittle.
