Oscar winner to be honored at Boulder Film Festival

Academy Award-winning film director, producer and screenwriter Oliver Stone will be honored with a "Master of Cinema Award" at the 2011 Boulder International Film Festival.

Stone's credits include directing JFK, Platoon and W.; writing the screenplays for Midnight Express and Scarface; and producing Reversal of Fortune and The People vs. Larry Flynt.

"We are honored to have Stone attending the 2011 Boulder International Film Festival," said Kathy Beeck, festival co-founder and director. "He's a brilliant writer, director, and producer who is a major player in the industry, and we're privileged to have him join us."

 

"Tribute to Oliver Stone" on Sunday, Feb. 20, at the Boulder Theater, at 2032 14th St. Doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets for the tribute are $60 and
are on sale now.
