A memorial took place in Pueblo today to honor nine men who were homeless and died over the past year. More than a hundred people attended the event, which was held on Pueblo's riverwalk. After each man's name was read aloud, friends or loved ones were invited to the microphone to share their memories.
The memorial honored the following people:
Lloyd Arnold Jr.
Forrest Elbeck Sr.
Alfred Calderon
James Walling
Gerald (Jerry) Flege
Gary S. Lochard
Gilbert Ortega Jr.
Brett Ekker
Mark Easton
This is the 8th year the ceremony has been held in Pueblo. It's organized by Posada, an agency that helps the homeless in our community.
