Saturday will hold another opportunity to see thunderstorms in the afternoon and into the evening hours. Once again some of these storms could be on the strong side with the best chance for severe weather along the Kansas / Colorado bordering counties. Hail and gusty winds will be the main threat with these storms. High temperatures will be comfortable on this Saturday, but the heat will really kick in for Father's Day. Sunday will also be the first day of a pattern shift, a pattern shift to hotter and drier weather, and this will continue for the next 7 days.
Saturday Forecast:
Colorado Springs: 30% for an afternoon or evening storm, high 79
Pueblo: 30% chance for a late afternoon storm, high 87
Monument: 40% chance for afternoon storms, high 83
Teller County: 30% chance for afternoon storms, high 73
